Based at The City Institute at York University, The Toronto Urban Journal invites writers to submit exceptional independent research and essay submissions that are published as reviewed articles.
As people’s lives and experiences globally become situated, produced by and contained within “the urban”, the critical reflection of defining, understanding and evolving conceptions of it are ever more necessary. This journal exists in order to provide a rigorous intellectual engagement in urban studies at the undergraduate level.
The Journal provides undergraduate urban scholars with the opportunity to publish high-quality work and engage with a review process in preparation for future research and publication experience.
We are partially funded by York University’s Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation, the Department of Geography and the Urban Studies Program.
